Miami-Dade is where the company sits
Our anchor point is Kendall, in the western single-family belt, and the 25-mile radius drawn from it reaches Miami Lakes at the top and Florida City at the bottom. Forty-seven municipalities and census neighborhoods fall inside that circle, from Doral down through Pinecrest and Cutler Bay to Homestead.
Each guide names the county it applies to, because the rule moves when the county does. Product registers, inspection sequences and the pressures an engineer writes on a plan are not shared across the line, and one page attempting all of it at once would be exact nowhere. So the permitting material is split three ways, and every part of it says where it holds.
Broward: the storm code does not change at the line
Eleven Broward cities are on our list, from Hollywood and Dania Beach up through Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs and Deerfield Beach. Legally this is the same world we work in at home: Broward sits inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone alongside Miami-Dade, so a door carrying a Miami-Dade product control approval is the ordinary thing to install there, not an upgrade.
What does change is who signs the paperwork. A permit comes from the municipality where the work happens, and the inspector who closes out an install in Pompano Beach answers to Broward. That filing is part of the job in either county, and it is the difference between a door that is on your house and a door that is on the record.
Palm Beach sits outside the hurricane zone
This is the line almost nobody in this trade publishes, so it is worth being blunt about it. The High-Velocity Hurricane Zone ends at the Broward county line. Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter are not inside it, and the Miami-Dade notice of acceptance is not what the law asks for up there.
Palm Beach falls in the wind-borne debris region under statewide Florida Product Approval, with impact testing to the ASTM standards the code names rather than to the county protocols. In practice a door approved for Miami-Dade clears that bar comfortably, because it was tested harder — but the approval attached to the permit is a different document, and anyone who tells you otherwise has never pulled one north of Deerfield.
So we serve those eleven cities, and we do not pretend the hurricane pages on this site describe their code. If you are permitting up there, ask us for the statewide approval number rather than the county one.
How to tell whether we come to you
If your city is named on this page, it is inside the area the company declared. If it is not, and it borders one that is, it is worth asking instead of assuming: the edge of a service area is a judgment call about one specific job, never a wall on a map.
Distance is worth naming plainly too. Jupiter sits roughly 88 miles from our anchor point; Boca Raton about 49; Fort Lauderdale about 33. None of that changes how a spring is wound or a panel is hung, but it does bear on what can be booked for a given day — and it is the honest reason the local guides here are written for one county rather than for the whole stretch of coast.

Is a Miami-Dade approved garage door legal in Palm Beach County?
A product holding Miami-Dade product control approval was tested against the strictest impact and cyclic protocols in the state, so it generally satisfies what Palm Beach asks for.

Why is a garage door company named after one county if it works in three?
It is named after where it is based and where most of the work happens.
- A vague regional name tells you nothing
- It could mean anywhere between two coasts
- Saying where the vans sleep is the useful fact
Does one permit cover garage door work in all three counties?
A permit is issued by the jurisdiction where the garage door is installed, so three counties mean three permitting systems.
