24/7 emergency service
Emergency Garage Door Repair in Miami
A door stuck open does not pick office hours.
If the door will not close, will not open, or has stopped mid-travel and left your house open, we answer around the clock across all three counties.
The surcharge sits on top of the repair, never instead of it, and it is named before anyone drives out.

What you get
Secured tonight. Repaired properly.
An emergency call has two jobs, and only one of them has to happen in the dark.
The load comes under control first
Nothing is unbolted while a door can still fall. Securing it is the first half of the visit.
The house is closed before we leave
Even when the full repair waits for daylight, the opening does not stay open overnight.
The price is named on the phone
The after-hours surcharge is stated before dispatch, not discovered on the invoice.
The first visit
What happens in the first fifteen minutes.
The order is fixed, because an emergency is exactly when improvising costs the most.
- The door is clamped so it cannot move or fall
- The failed part is identified and shown to you
- You are told what can be finished now and what cannot
- The opening is closed and secured either way
- The price is agreed before any repair starts

How it is installed
Not every night-time problem needs night-time labor.
Saying so costs us the premium, and it is still the right answer more often than the industry admits.
Some faults must be fixed tonight
A door that cannot be closed leaves the house open. That one does not wait.
Some are safer finished in daylight
A spring change on a heavy door is better done with light and the right parts on the van.
You are told which one you have
And the difference in price, before anyone commits to either.
What it can look like
What an after-hours call actually looks like.
Same van, same parts, same technician — only the hour changes.

The van carries the same stock
Springs, cables, rollers and opener parts travel at night as they do at noon.

A safe close counts as a result
Sometimes the right answer at 2 a.m. is a door closed safely and a repair booked for daylight.

And the return visit is planned
With the part identified and on the van before we arrive the second time.
Storm damage should be documented before it disappears: photographs and the failed part kept, because an insurer asks for both and neither can be reconstructed afterwards.
More detail if you want it
How we think about this job.
Three things decide how an emergency call ends.

1.Emergency service starts with control of the load
A door stopped mid-travel is holding its weight on whatever is left. Before anything is diagnosed it is clamped, because a door that falls during a repair is a different kind of night entirely.

2.Not every night-time problem needs night-time labor
If the opening can be closed and secured, the repair itself is often safer and cheaper in daylight with the right parts on the van. We say so, and it costs us the premium.

3.Storm damage should be documented before it disappears
Photographs before the repair and the failed part kept afterwards. An insurer asks for both, and neither can be produced once the door works again.
How it goes
How a night call goes.
Four steps, and the price is known before the third.
- 01
You call and describe it
What the door is doing, and whether the house is open. That decides the urgency.
- 02
We name the surcharge
Before dispatch, on the phone, with the standard rate it sits on top of.
- 03
We secure and diagnose
The load first, the fault second, and the choice put to you third.
- 04
We finish or we book
Tonight if it must be, in daylight if that is better, and you decide which.
Typical ranges
Useful numbers — after you understand what changes them.
The surcharge is a fixed addition to the repair below, not a different price list.
- After-hours call-out surcharge$100–$150
- Torsion spring replacement (pair)$250–$450
- Lift cable replacement (pair)$225–$375
- Off-track realignment$200–$350
These are published market ranges for South Florida, not a quote. The failed component and the condition of the door decide the final price.
More detail if you want it
Why springs call after hours more than anything else
A torsion spring reaches the end of its cycle count on the cycle it happens to be on, and there is no warning that distinguishes the last one from the ten thousand before it. Because most households open the door on the way out and close it on the way in, that final cycle lands at either end of the day far more often than in the middle — which is why this fault, more than any other, arrives outside working hours.

What we will not do at night
We will not fit a door, and we will not replace an assembly that needs a permit. Both require paperwork that no municipality issues at midnight, and starting either after dark means finishing it twice. What we will do is close the opening safely and put the real repair on the calendar with the part already identified.

Before you choose
What people ask when they call at night.
The questions that come up on almost every visit.
How much more does an after-hours call cost?
There is a surcharge on top of the repair, named on the phone before anyone is dispatched. It is an addition to the standard rate, not a replacement for it, and it does not change what the parts cost.
Can you at least close the door tonight?
Almost always, and that is the first thing we do. A closed and secured opening buys the time to do the repair properly rather than quickly.
Do you carry parts at night?
The van carries the same stock at 2 a.m. as at 2 p.m. — springs, cables, rollers and opener parts. What it does not carry is a door, because a door is ordered against your opening.
My door was damaged in a storm — what should I do first?
Photograph it before anything is touched, and keep the failed part afterwards. An insurer asks for both, and once the door works again neither can be produced.

What we do before we repair anything
The first job on an out-of-hours call is not the repair, it is making the opening safe. A door left half open is an entrance; a panel held by one cable is a weight waiting to move. Securing it — closing and locking the opening, or restraining what is loose — takes minutes, and it is what turns a dangerous night into an ordinary appointment. Sometimes that is the whole visit, and the repair is booked for daylight at the normal rate. We will say so rather than work by torchlight for the sake of the invoice.
Storm nights are the exception to that calm. After a system passes, the calls that come in are rarely about a worn part: they are about a panel that has taken a hit, an opening that has moved, or a door that has been pulled outward by suction rather than pushed inward by wind. Those are structural questions, they usually end in an insurance claim, and photographing everything before anything is touched matters more than getting the door shut an hour sooner.

Two things to do while you wait
Stop operating the door. This is the single instruction that saves the most money on this page. Once a spring lets go, everything it was holding lands on the lift cables and the motor, and each further attempt to raise the panel drags one more component out of true — a bent track and a burnt-out motor are usually self-inflicted in the twenty minutes after the break, not caused by it.
Then disconnect the opener with the emergency release, so the motor stops fighting a door it can no longer lift. Do it with the door down if you possibly can — pulling that cord on a raised door with a broken spring lets the whole weight fall, and that is the one maneuver on a garage door that genuinely injures people.

| Work | Typical range | What moves the price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| After-hours call-out surcharge | $100 – $150 | Added to the job, not charged instead of it. Ask whether it is waived when the repair goes ahead. | Book this — After-hours call-out surcharge |
| Torsion spring replacement (pair) | $250 – $450 | Higher than extension springs: winding bars are required and the job carries real injury risk. Always replaced in pairs. | Book this — Torsion spring replacement (pair) |
| Rollers or track repair | $75 – $350 | Per visit. Often bundled with a spring or cable job rather than billed alone. | Book this — Rollers or track repair |

Emergency garage door questions, at the hour you need them
How much extra does an after-hours garage door callout cost?
The surcharge sits on top of the repair rather than replacing it, and this page publishes the range this market charges with its source.
- Ask whether it is deducted once work is agreed
- Some firms deduct it, some do not
- It should be said before setting off
My garage door is stuck open and the house is empty. What now?
Securing the opening comes first, whatever it takes — this case is not really about the door.
- An open garage is an open house
- Claims for what walks out are harder
- The repair can wait an hour; the opening cannot
Storm damage to my garage door: do I call you or my insurer first?
Both — and us first only when the opening is unsafe to leave as it is.
- Photograph from inside and outside
- Photograph before anything is moved
- Keep the temporary securing separate on the invoice
An adjuster arriving after a tidy-up is being asked to take your word for what was there.
Can you get my car out without repairing the garage door?
Usually yes, and it is worth asking for on its own rather than as part of a repair.
- Release the trolley, lift by hand
- Works on most failures
- Not on a broken spring
A broken spring is precisely the case where nobody should be lifting the door by hand, because nothing is carrying its weight any more.
