Getting hold of us
Four things to tell us, and we can answer properly
Write to contact@southflgaragedoors.com and you will get a real answer rather than a callback form. Because a garage door question is decided by an address as much as by a symptom, four pieces of information turn a vague reply into a useful one, and they take about a minute to gather.

What to put in the message
Start with the city, not the street — the city decides which rulebook applies and which counter a permit goes to, and it is the single fact that changes the answer most. Then the year the house was built, because on an opening older than 1992 nobody can promise what is behind the trim. Then what the door is doing, in your own words: refuses to move, opens then reverses, screams on the way up. Then a photograph taken from inside the garage with the door down, which shows the springs, the tracks and the opener in one frame.
With those four we can usually tell you which part failed, whether it is a permit job or a repair, and roughly what the market pays for it — before anyone drives anywhere. Without them the honest answer is that we would be guessing, and a guessed number is how quotes end up doubling on the day.

When we work, and where
Weekdays run from seven in the morning to seven in the evening, Saturdays from eight to five, and a genuine emergency is taken outside those hours. A door stuck open on a house nobody is at, a snapped torsion spring, a panel torn loose in a storm: those are emergencies. A door that squeaks is not, and calling it one only costs you an after-hours surcharge.
The area runs from Homestead in the south to the north of Palm Beach, and the two hurricane-zone counties are where most of the work sits. There is no counter to walk into: this is a service-area business and the van comes to the door rather than the other way round.

Getting in touch: what to expect from us
Is there a phone number for garage door service?
There is no phone number on this site yet, and we would rather say so than publish a line that rings somewhere else.
- A local line is being set up
- Email reaches the same people meanwhile
- It leaves a written record of the exchange
On a job that involves a permit, a written record of what was asked and what was answered is worth having anyway.
Does writing about a garage door sign me up for sales calls?
Writing to us does not sign you up for anything: we answer the message you sent, in the channel you sent it.
- The consent box on the booking form is deliberate
- Permission to call or text is given, not tripped over
- The exact wording travels with your request
What does it cost to have somebody look at a garage door?
Coming out to look at a garage door costs nothing, and nothing is owed at the end of it.
- Establish which component gave way
- Say whether the opening pulls a permit
- Place the repair against what the market charges
Can I send you a garage door quote I already have?
Send the quote and the address and we will read it against the code that applies there.
- Whether the product named carries a valid approval
- Whether a permit is listed at all
- Whether the anchoring line matches the drawing
Plenty of quotes fail one of those three, and finding out before signing costs nothing.
